Enable auto-translation as an admin

Translator offers an automatic translation functionality for Confluence pages on display, so that the user does not have to activate the translator every time the page is loaded.

When configuring the Next Generation Translator for Confluence, it is possible to allow users to activate this feature. Be aware that users my experience reduced performance due to increased translation request to your translation backend.

You need to set a maximum translation queue size up to which automatic translations will be started. When the queue reaches this limit, pages will no longer be auto-translated, but users can manually start a translation for that page. The optimal value for this maximum depends on your setup and does not have to correspond to the default value of 100 that we have defined. One ‘element’ of the queue corresponds roughly to one ‘html’ element, so for example one paragraph or bullet point of your confluence page.

To activate auto-translation and define their language of choice (based on the enabled languages), users must activate this feature in their user settings, see Auto-translation of Confluence Pages.
