The set of languages between which Next Generation Translator for Confluence can translate depends on the configured translation backend. The languages supported by each backend are listed below.
Your administrator may have additionally restricted the set of available languages.
The set of available languages can be viewed and edited by administrators under
General Configuration :atlassian-wheel: → Translator → Configuration.

We fully support the DeepL language models. Every language that is supported by DeepL is also supported by our translator.

We fully support the Google Translate Basic backend. Every language that is supported by Google Translate Basic is also supported by our translator.

Languages Available with the Data-secure Backend
Translation is performed using a state-of-the-art deep learning model installed on-premise. The source code for the model is publicly available at https://github.com/TNG/NextGenerationTranslatorBackend.

The English-German and German-English translations will provide the highest data quality whereas the other languages will provide good, but not perfect translations.
